The food was good but the service, the ambiance and the prices were not. The worst part was the wait. I took my son and his friend to lunch. My son and I had finished our main dishes and we had to wait an additional 42 minutes for his friend's baked ziti to arrive. I was wondering if they were cooking each noodle separately or if it had turned out so good that the chef ate it himself. Later we were told that "the kitchen" had burnt it and had to make another. But even that doesn't make sense. No matter how many times I asked the waitress what happened to the baked ziti - she replied "one more minute". Lucky for her the tip is already included in the bill. I can only hope she uses the money to purchase a watch. All in all the lunch took two and a half hours. Luckily we had no other plans.

I love this place. I think it's one of the beach's best kept sushi secrets. They're a kosher sushi and pizza place. It sounds insane, but it's great. The people who work there are so sweet, they even showed me how to roll my own sushi once. The rolls are delicous, especially the South Beach roll with tempura crab on top. I'm addicted. The restaurant is quite small, but they have these lit up color-glass pieces on the wall that are quite pretty to look at. The best part is that they deliver! So, swing by and grab a menu for the next time you're looking to dine-in on some inexpensive sushi with great taste.

Mother of God. I am generally easy to please. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Rude waiters. No tofu (for Miso soup). A "Soup of the Day" that is not ready, although it's 8:30pm. Only Heineken and Corona (no Japanese beers). No sparkling water (whatevs, its the beach, we tried). Cats in the back (no ones fault) but it reeked of piss. Hose it off man... No tea. (to clarify, when I asked what tea was available, I was told "5 kinds." Ok, so what are they? Let me bring you the *mumbling* so you can choose, Ok? Ok. Cut to: he brings out a cup a warm water and a box holding about 7 random packets of teas, a few of which were basic brown Lipton tea you get on an airplane. THEN THAT F*CKIN MEAL COST ME $60!!! i think i popped a forehead vein. needless to say we left and went to a DECENT sushi place on lincoln road for self-vindication. I'll gladly spend more when more is deserved. BEWARE!

Went here and had a pizza with peppers, onions, and roasted garlic - delicious! Definitely some of the best kosher pizza I've ever had!!

I eat here every time I come down to Miami with my family. This time was the last. Service was simply not present (I'm not even sure if the waitress said hello). Food was mediocre to poor. Our pizza came gooey with dough undercooked towards the center. My $15 Kings highway sushi roll was a little more than half the size as it was 6 months ago, but remarkably, still the same amount of sushi pieces (pieces were cut so thin I could barely pick em up with chopsticks). When the manager came by at the end to ask us how everything was, he was halfway to the next table upon completion of the question. This man clearly didn't care how things were. I gave a second star out of generosity. The place will always have some sentimental value, though I'll be switching our kosher restaurant of choice to the Gourmet Carrot down the block.

My girlfriend and I just went for dinner and had an amazing meal. Ordered 2 sushi dishes, a salad and a pasta. Everything was delicious and the staff was really nice. The sauces that they use on the sushi is truly unique and tasty. And their bread was a flaky and very tasty garlic bread that melted in my mouth. Also the water tasted great!

If someone left a 5 stars for their sushi, they must know nothing about sushi! It tasted like rat poison. The only reason why I gave 2 star,is for ths beautiful presentation of the food. Will never come back here and do not recommend.Overpriced as aell

Staff was nice and quality of the actual sashimi was good. All other aspects were mediocre at best. Started with the avocado salad, which for over $12 was underwhelming. Good amount of avocado, but romaine was all the dark green, wilty outside and none of the heart. Dressing on the side came in a plastic to-go container. (Note:I was eating in the restaurant, not doing take out). Other veggies were basic with little thought into the presentation. Sashimi sampler - fish was good, although a extremely small portion of yellowtail (I complained at first because I thought they had forgotten it). They added some imitation crab which wasn't normally included, perhaps to accommodate, but as I'm not a fan of it I didn't eat any. The wasabi was a bit dried out and tasted stale, the pickled ginger was a darker orange and a flat, almost salty taste which I didn't like. All of the sauce accompaniments were in more plastic to-go containers, including an empty one for mixing the soy sauce/dipping. Really off-putting and so easy for them to improve the presentation and overall experience. Didn't at all get the sense that they care about these thing at all. Not planning on going back, which is too bad as I have a shellfish allergy and was really hoping this Kosher sushi place would allow me to safely satisfy my sushi cravings.

It was one of the best place that i ever been to eat sushi, starting with the presentation of each plate, as you guys see at the picture, it looks delicious, but wait to try it, it something different, the taste, flavor, size, its absolutely perfect. If you like sushi, you must take a look at this place, wait to try it, shame only i can give 5 starts to this place, because i give it before to another place, and this one now deserve 10 starts.

Ugh, 18 dollars for 6 pieces of salmon sashimi that were not good at all. There is a nice outdoor space in the back, but the prices and quality of the food were not that great. I will have to give it a second chance. But for now 3 stars is all it gets. =(

I wanted to take a moment and thank this restaurant! I had a guest who specifically requested a kosher tuna melt from this restaurant, and not only did they deliver in time but we're so willing to take a request for me considering I called at 10:30 am. Wonderful service! Thank you Jonathan for delivering the food in time! I will definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my guests and will try it out myself; the food looks mouthwatering!!

Super slow service and the food is just ok. Left the place very unsatisfied. Took 55 minutes for us to get our first sushi roll. We didn't order anything to complicated. Will not go back. I guess when you see sushi and pizza in the window, I should have known better.

The sushi chefs are pro's!!! I eat sushi all over Miami, and I can really conclude they have the art for sushi, I always go to try a new roll, it's always an awesome surprise. The pizza is good, I was Surprised its a little more expensive than the usual, but I love cheese, an they Put a lot of cheese which I love. Service was awesome! I even got a free cookie. :-) I mostly order for lunch, awesome lunch special. anyways I only write reviews when I really like the place Or really dislike it, and this place is recommendable!

I will spare you the mile long list of reasons why this restaurant has completely gone down hill. However, I will say that if you like tables with remnants of the previous meal, terrible to no service and your waiter leaving while he was serving your table and forgetting to put in your order so that you wait over an hour for your food before just picking yourself up and leaving out of sheer frustration, than this is the restaurant for you. And if trying to talk to a manager of the restaurant only to be blatantly ignored is your thing than line riiiight up because 17 is for you.

Sushi was fantastic. Can't speak for the non-sushi food. Service was good no complaints. Highly recommended.

This is one of those sushi places that I would consider to be above average. Give me a menu of imaginative, artistically presented rolls, serve them fresh and really cold, and I'm happy. One thing to keep in mind, however. This is a Kosher place. You won't find eel here, or other "forbidden" items. Shrimp, crab, lobster? To quote Elaine from Seinfeld: Fake. Fake. Fake. But don't let that turn you off. Everything is delish. This place also has an italian menu, which I can tell you absolutely nothing about, since I didn't even look at it. Maybe next time. Now the negatives: Kosher food is pricey. I get that. But add $6 to make your roll tempura? Really? No! A few other items on the menu seemed a bit out of line, price wise, as well. And then my biggest restaurant pet peeve: add 18% tip to a party of 3 (and that 18% was calculated on the after-tax total, which is even more out of line). No restaurant that ever does this (unless it's a large party) will ever get a five star rating from me. (This place would have been a solid four-star anyway).

Overpriced food. Mediocre quality. Small portions. They include gratuity even in groups as small as four people, so you're stuck paying tip for bad service. Would definitely not recommend.

Went here the other day, had a coupon from restaurant .com had no problem using. The set up is a bit small but wasn't super packed for the lunch hour. i ordered a mushroom soup which was delicious. A salmon avocado roll also great sushi and penne vodka. The food overall was very good, had a great lunch walked out feeling satisfied. Im only giving 3 starts because of the service. I was not meant to be there for over a hour. it took so long for our food to come I almost had to leave. But i guess it was worth the wait you can say. Next time i come and i will I will just have to give myself more time to stay there.

Super friendly staff! Sushi and pizza is a weird combination, but I have no complaints after trying their complimentary warm bread. I definitely recommend the crunchy sushi with salmon and avocado!

Great menu, good sushi. Kinda small inside. Outdoor seating overlooks parking lot. Service is good.

My friend suggested Seventeen, because it has a Kosher certification and has parking adjacent to the restaurant. We both ordered eggplant parmasan and thought it was tasty. My friend asked for oregano and we sprinkled it generously. That made the dish look and tasted better. They serve a complementary water bottle and samples of the soup of the day. I think these and a cookie for dessert are nice touches. We had good attentive service. Though, I did not like the noise from the TV's and the air conditioners units. I have been told that the price is a bit higher because of the Kosher certification.

Had take out sushi from here once; pretty standard sushi - not the best but definitely not the worst. However, it was more pricey than usual, likely because it's kosher.

The food is good, but $16.95 for a Tataki Salad with four meager pieces of tuna is way too much. Looks like, compared to what they used to be, that the portions have got much smaller. We had a Tataki salad and a Tuna Tartare and it took an hour and a half to get out of there. The service is painfully slow, I left hungry and I we decided that we won't be going back

Ate there twice. There appears to be a lack of consistency, depending on who is in kitchen and of course, the servers. First time it was during lunch when there was a horrendous downpouring of rain. Owner welcomed us 3 gay boys in, gave us towels to dry off, and personally took our order. Fresh yummy bread brought to table, had a delicious homemade soup, and great pizza. Second time was around 11:45 PM, they were closing, waiter seemed like he had already gone home, no bread, and the pizza didn't taste so yummy. They need to get their act together if they want to broaden their base of clients to the local South Beach guys.

I really wasn't expecting much when I came here for some sushi. We live just down the street and prior to this we checked out the menu for the sushi bar and it just seemed really odd. They have pizza, to pasta and some sushi. Anyway, we finally came just to try it and it turned out better than expected. We just had some sashimi and one roll and they were surprisingly decent. Not to say that this was great sushi but it was actually decent. They don't have much variety so don't expect much. Honestly, I would be hesitant to try it again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
